A Tribute to Tia
Dory I am so
sad that we will miss Tia from our physical life. I truly believe that she
will always be with those that loved her, and now she can be with Bill and
Dex. You and Glenn did everything possible to give her a great life in her
aging years. I am thankful for the gift that I was able to say goodbye to
her last night.
Love Guy & Elisa
Oh Dory. I am
so very sorry. Sierra was jealous that I'd be seeing Tia (or so I thought)
when we meet with you on the website. She was very special and so are you
and Glenn for giving her a loving home when Bill died.
Patricia
P.S. I saw Moses the other day. Anna and Bill had to go out of town unexpectedly so Sierra and I took care of Moses in their absence. He looks great and Anna and Bill love him to pieces.
Words cannot
express my deepest sympathy. I am sitting here crying my eyes out. You'd think
that she was my dog. Again, Deepest sympathy. She will be missed.
Cass
Sorry to hear
that Tia is gone.
Jody
I am so sorry to hear of your
loss! When my last boy passed, a police dog handler told me, "Honor your
dog for what he/she did for you and others" I mourn a great dog!
Elizabeth
I cannot describe
how blessed we were to have known Bill and Tia and all of you at American
Canine Academy. Soko and I always admired Tia and thought her as 'goddess'
among trained dogs. Sonny and Indy's temperament and behavior owes a lot to
her. God bless her soul.

Oh, Dory, I
am heartbroken all over again. This brings everything rushing back. I am so
sorry she's gone - a little of Bill was still here as long as she was here.
The photo and what you wrote are beautiful. Thank you.
Love, Ellie (Bill's sister)
I am in tears
right now. As you so beautifully express in this tribute to Tia, she has brought
joy and touched so many through her Pet Therapy. I am so privileged to have
shared a small part of her life with so many who have been blessed. Yes, you
are right....there is a grand and happy reunion right now with Bill and Tia.
With love and gratitude,
Phyllis
I am so sorry.
You were there for her when she lost her dearest friend, and allowed her to
continue the life and work she knew and loved. I think of Bill all the time
and I know he definitely was waiting for her with open arms.
Love, Peggy
Nothing I can
say will take your pain away but I hope the wonderful memories of Tia will
be somewhat comforting. My heart goes out to you and Glenn .....my tears are
not only for the both of you ,but for Tia and every dog we ever loved and
lost. I told my Emme and Bo to look for her.

We share your
pain bud. I'm sorry. I can't stop crying here and believe me, without the
office, I have my head as far down to the desk as possible!!! I thank you
and Bill for the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
Jo Ann & Pete
Our thoughts
are with you. Your tribute is so true. She will be missed. If you need anything
or to talk let me know. With deepest sympathy.
Patty and Rich

Im so
sorry. Oh man, Tia. What a good girl
everyone loved Tia.
This will be very hard for so many people that knew her. Im glad that
Tia spent her remaining years with you. It hard to remember that she came
to your house with the other (3) dogs.. you were good to keep Dexter and Tia.
Tia had a very full life, and you called it right, she certainly touched a lot of lives, more than you know Im sure.
~Cindy
oh I am so sorry,
what a lovely photo she was just a giving and lovely dog. she is now with
Bill and you are a Saint. our sincere condolences,
Hugs
Joanne
I just saw news
of Tia's passing. My condolences on the loss of a great dog and a great friend.
I will forever remember her and Bill going thru their paces during training.

I am so sorry to hear about
Tia. I know how hard this is, I am going through the same thing since we just
had to say goodbye to our dog Maxx last Friday. From one broken heart to another,
our dogs were blessed, our grief will eventually be replaced by smiles of
good memories and our friends will live forever in our hearts.
Jamie
Dory & Glenn-
I'm so so sorry to hear about Tia. I know that you knew it was coming, but
that doesn't make it any easier. She was such a special girl & so many
will miss her terribly. At least she is with Bill now. Everyone who met her
loved her instantly! She always had a special soul that enveloped everyone
she came into contact with & made them feel loved. Kinda hard to describe,
but I know that you know what I'm talking about. It's no wonder she was a
great therapy dog.
I'm so glad her last few years were with you & that you allowed her to
get her naughty on! When Bill died, she must've been bewildered that her dad
was gone. You are an angel for taking her & showing her that she was still
very much loved & had a familiar place to call home. She is in heaven
wanting to kiss the tears off your cheeks with her stinky fish breath!
If you need anything, please call me.
I love you!

When I saw the email from
Joanne with the subject line Tia I just didn't want to open it. I am so very
sorry. Dory, you and Glenn offered Tia the love she always knew from Bill
and the love she so generously shared with so many. I told Joanne it still
seems like just yesterday meeting Bill and Tia...and they made such an impact
on us. Ironically, they continue to have such a huge impact on our lives.
We will always be grateful.
The picture of Tia and your words are so beautiful. May you have peace in
your heart.
LOL and sympathy,
Tracey & John (Eagle and Riley)
I was so sad
to hear about Tia's passing. She was certainly a being who had both heart
and soul. I remember how Francesca looked up to her when we attended classes
with her. Our condolences go out to you.
Regards,
JoAnn & Francesca
It was very special to talk
with you today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and care
you gave with all your heart to Tia. Bill is grateful, I know. How proud he
was of her and how much he loved her! How special she was! The thought you
shared with me of Tia joyfully running into Bills arms and of them together
again helps soften all these sad feelings; I wish I could hug them both one
more time
Much love,
Mara (Bills sister Marianne)
I'm so sorry.
We all loved Tia. She WAS a Lady. I'm so glad that she spent the rest of her
life with you.
It's hard because it's almost like losing a piece of Bill again. They are
definitely rejoicing together.
I always agonized about whether my dogs would go to Heaven. I said that if
they weren't there, I wasn't going ,either.
Then I found this, and would like to share it with you.
" And some of the people said, this man careth for all creatures. Are
they His brothers and sisters that He should love them? Verily, these are
your fellow creatures of the great household of God, yea they are your brethern
and sisters having the same breath of life in the eternal".

All family pets
are special...but those dogs who bridge the gap to help others, opening emotional
doors, encouraging communication, and sensing the moment are the special therapy
dogs we treasure...
Dory, may Tia live forever in your memories and other therapy dogs follow
in her pawprints...
Anne and "MEG"
I'm so sorry
for your loss of Tia. I've only known you and your dogs for a short time,
and don't know Tia's history, but based on the tributes from everyone she
was a special girl and touched the lives of many. I feel your pain.
My condolences,
Cindy P.
Your words
were already in my heart. I am so so sorry, Dory. Beautiful picture of a beautiful
companion taken probably by one of the most beautiful people I know. May God
see you through this painful time.
My love and deepest sympathy,
Patti
We feel your
sorrow; our hearts truly go out to you for your great loss. May your fond
memories of Tia bring you joy for years to come.
Diane and Maggie
Im truly sorry
to hear this news about Tia and my heart prayers goes out to you during this
time.
Daniel, Leah & Max
You have my
deepest sympathy. Thank you for keeping me informed. She was a great dog and
a loyal friend. I believe that she will bring Bill much comfort from our side.
Thank you for taking the best care and loving her.
Hope you are all well.
Regards, Sandy
I am soo sorry to hear about
the loss of Tia. She was a terrific companion. She will always be remembered.
Iraida
I'm so sorry about Tia. She
was an amazing dog. The loss of Tia brings back memories of Bill and the emotions
felt when he died. We send you all our sympathy.
Love, Sue and Gary
I'm so sorry.
This is the first chance I've had to check my e-mail and i opened yours right
away. I was just thinking today that when I asked you how Tia was the other
day, I don't remember you saying anything about her. As soon as her picture
came up I started crying and then I read the beautiful tribute you wrote -
I'm still crying and showing my employees her picture. I always loved Tia;
I wanted to buy her when Bill first got her but he was already attached to
her himself. I did spend time a lot of time with her though, and it was easy
to fall in love with her (as you know). It was always obvious that she and
Bill were meant for each other - now at last they are together again. Please
keep in touch with me Dory.
Judy
My condolences.
God Bless -
Heather
You are so fortunate
to have had a strong bond with such a very special dog. Your words were very
fitting and beautiful. She certainly touched many many hearts and souls, including
mine, and definitely will not be forgotten.
Theresa
I am so sorry.
She will be truly missed by so many but yes, she is now with Bill. He probably
has been waiting for her. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.
I truly think that losing an animal is worse than losing a human in some ways.
That is just my feeling. My thoughts are with you. Timber's too.
Lois & Timber
I am so sorry
to hear of your loss. My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to you and
your family. Tia was a wonderful girl and lived a special life. You were very
lucky to have her as she was very lucky to have you. The two of you together
did so many wonderful things. I am sure that she will watch over you and the
family. She will never leave your side, never did, never will. You will always
have a special place in your heart for her as she will for you. Tia will live
on forever in you heart and memory. You will all be in our prayers.
With a very heavy heart,
Jeffrey
I'm sorry to
hear about Tia. I remember the first day I walked into the American Canine
Academy. Sonny was a puppy, Indy wasn't born yet, I was in high school, and
a well-behaved dog like Tia seemed impossible! With Bill's coaching and "positive
reinforcement" attitude we now have two wonderful dogs as part of our
family. We owe so much to Bill, Tia, and your team. And you're absolutely
right. I'm sure it is a happy reunion, even though we miss them very much.
With love,
Yasuko (Jim and Soko's daughter)
I just saw on
the website that Tia passed - I'm so sorry for your loss. I know its never
easy to lose a beloved pet. They are so special to us.
See you soon.
Carol, Bentley, Jack, Thad and Telula
I did not know
Tia very well but my heart goes out to you because I know how hard it is to
lose one of your family and I am sure since Bill passed she became part of
your family. I will pray that God will help you and your pack with the sorrow
you feel.
Judy
I dont know
what to say. I have been choked up an so overly emotional ever since I found
out. I just know that I dont have to explain to you how special she was to
us and the world around her because you know. I dont have to tell you that
Tia wasn't just Tia, she was also Bill in a way, and I hate that thats gone,
and I dont just mean for me and John. I dont have to tell you how much you
and Glenn did for her because you know that too. I just want to tell you how
much I love you guys, and loved Tia and I'm so sorry. The only thing that makes
me feel better is that one of the worst memories I have from my whole life
was having to shove Tia in the house when she was trying to chase Bill that
last day...it was heartbreaking because she knew and she wanted to be with
him. That has bothered me since that day.You know what...she had a few wonderful
years, with you guys, but she finally got to run and catch her best friend. For
that, I'm happy. Thanks for being who you are.Thank Glenn too.I am as happy
and Lucky to have had you in my life..as much as I am happy to have been lucky
to love and be loved by Tia.I think thats the highest compliment I can give
anybody. So so sorry, I can never explain how much. here I go again Love ya
Frannie and John
Thank you to all that sent words of kindness and understanding. Thank you for the beautiful cards. I know that you were all connected to Tia & Bill in some way. There are some people that don't have the depth or compassion to understand the grief over losing a pet. "It's just a dog" they might say. This is why I only surround myself with wonderful, animal people like yourselves. Thank you again.
